Cradle to Cradle CertifiedTM is more than a recognized mark of product quality; it is a process that leads companies to make better products, better companies and better communities.
When a brand goes through the Cradle to Cradle certification process they are benchmarking their product’s design for safety to human and environmental health, sustainability of manufacturing processes and future use cycles. The brands provide a defined trajectory for optimizing product design and manufacturing processes and submits products to expert evaluation of product ingredients throughout the supply chain for toxicity hazards and risks in context of use. The personal care brands that have submitted their products for assessment include L’Oréal, Aveda and Method.
Alex&Tay is the first nail brand that has been assessed for Material Health by the Cradle to Cradle Certified™ Product Standard and was awarded a Silver level Material Health Certificate. This ensures consumers that the product contains no substances known or suspected to cause cancer, birth defects, genetic damage, or reproductive harm. Alex&Tay has committed to full certification over the next two years.

Recyclable Packaging
All packaging used in Alex&Tay products can be recycled. To recycle your glass bottle when you’re finished with your polish, please remove the cap, leave the bottle outside so that the polish can cure. When cured, place the cap, bottle and brush into your recycling bin. The bottle is made of glass, the cap is made of polypropylene and the brush stem is made of polyethylene.
Cruelty-Free
Alex&Tay never tests products on animals nor do any of our vendors.
We only test products on the owners of the company, and we watch them very carefully to see if they have any issues, like their hands falling off – so far so good.
American Made Beauty Certified
American Made Beauty is the Good Housekeeping Seal of approval for beauty brands. Brands that earn the AMB seal have been verified that the products are formulated in American, with ingredients sourced here, following rules established by the FDA and the FTC. AMB verified brands celebrate both the entrepreneurial spirit of the country as well as the rigorous health, safety and quality standards that American-made brands have come to stand for.
